transitcal was built by a capricorn sun, gemini moon, and virgo rising (but mostly the virgo rising).

When i started out studying astrology, i wanted to track my personal transits as well as all the other stuff that was going on in the skies on a day-to-day basis. i wanted to see - and feel - how they influenced my life. as above, so below? i wanted to draw my own conclusions.

Zodiacal releasing, solar return charts, arabic lots - when i started really getting into astrology and the esoteric, it seemed like i was given some kind of cheat code. like when you would press some buttons and type 'motherload' into the sims and get unlimited money to buy furniture. if only i could actually understand and apply it...

So as any sane person would, i started inputting all my transits and other astrological events into my google calendar one at a time so that i could monitor them as my life unfolded. i created spreadsheets with key historical events of my life and retroactively cross-referenced it with transits of the past (i've always enjoyed formatting spreadsheets.)

I eventually thought there had to be a better way, and wrote a script to do it for me. transitcal was born out of that script, and here we are a few (many) months later.
